Dr Dan-Adrian Cărămidariu and Dr Alexandra Bob attended the 16th biennial international conference “The legal system between stability and reform” at the University of Craiova on 24 October 2025. Organised by its Faculty of Law with the West University of Timișoara and Wolters Kluwer Romania, the event brought legal professionals and academics together to reflect on the development of Romania's legal system.
The company law section, “35 years of Law No. 31/1990: review and prospects”, included the following presentation:
- Dr Dan-Adrian Cărămidariu discussed “Exclusion of a shareholder from a limited liability company from a law and economics perspective: a brief note on Decision No. 733/2022 of the Timișoara Court of Appeal”, critically examining the economic and legal rationale for exclusion and the balance between contractual freedom and economic efficiency in company law.
The civil law section included the following presentation:
- Dr Alexandra Bob, together with lecturer Dr Codruța Guzei-Mangu, presented “Protection orders versus extended protection orders: rules and procedures”, examining differences in legal regimes, implementation mechanisms and the impact of legislative changes on effective protection of vulnerable people.
