Major Compensation Award in a Negligent Bodily Injury Case

Another success for our team, this time in a criminal case involving negligent bodily injury, decided at first instance.

Our client was awarded RON 126,525 in material damages and EUR 200,000 in non-material damages for suffering caused by negligent bodily injury resulting in a mobility disability. A victim's suffering can never be measured in money, and these seemingly large damages cannot fully compensate for the loss.

Because the criminal investigation progressed slowly, criminal liability became time-barred, leaving the civil claim as the only remaining means of holding those responsible accountable.
